A Typography 1 assignment, the task was to create a zine and incorporate engaging typographic and visual elements. I wanted to show that Hijab is a broad and complex term and it can take many forms. I was inspired by minimalist fashion magazines.

Magazine mock-up on breast cancer models. These are redesigned spreads from a magazine. The original article was about lounge wear tailored for women who have had a mastectomy done. I thought it was a very meaningful topic and even the process of putting the pages together felt very fulfilling and somewhat cathartic.

Posters depicting the elements: earth, water, fire, and wind. The concept behind these started with the idea of someone wanting to keep a secret. Then the secret, written on a paper, is burned, its ashes scattered in the wind, drowned and buried.
